Spicy Peanut Dipping/Noodle Sauce

VIDEO: You can find a link to my video on how I made this dish at the bottom of this page.fullsizerender

Peanut Butter   1 cup

Hoisin Sauce   1 cup

Sriracha Chili Sauce   1/3 – 1/2 cups

Garlic   5 cloves finely chopped

Shallots   1/4 cup finely chopped

HOT Water   about 2-3 cups (to thin out peanut sauce in the last step)

Oil   1/2 teaspoon

Lets Get Started:

Heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil in a pot on medium heat and cook the garlic and shallots until you smell the aroma and until they turn a little translucent.

Turn the heat down to low and add the peanut  butter and the hoisin sauce and stir it until combined and take it off the heat.

Add about 1/2 cup of HOT water and stir the peanut butter sauce. If it is still thick add more HOT water and stir. You will keep adding a little HOT water at a time until you get a nice thin sauce.

Next you will add in the sriracha chili sauce, as much or as little as you like. I think it tastes better with a little spicy kick to it 🙂

You can garnish it with chopped peanuts and a few drops of sriracha chili sauce  for presentation and serve.

You can serve this as a dip with fresh spring rolls, or snack it with vegetables, or add it to a noodle dish to make spicy peanut noodles.

I hope you like it.
